  1. Send a text message with the word START to 40404 (if you’re in the US).
  2. Now you will get a reply back from twitter asking for your full name to sign up. Enter your Full name and send.
  3. Twitter will then send a message back to you and assign you a username based on your full name, that you’ve initially sent.
  4. After that, your account have been created, You can send a text message and it will post as your first Tweet!

To start Using you twitter account that you’ve created via SMS on the Web

  • From your browser, Go to https://twitter.com/#!/login.
  • Then click on the Already using Twitter on your phone? button.
  • Now enter your phone Number, when due.
  • Then a verification code will be sent to you, Enter the Code in the field provided.
  • Twitter will then ask you to create an account by entering your email address, a password, and a name for your account. Your username will already be entered, since you signed up via SMS.
  • Finally Click Create my account.
